Dr. Sarah Bostrom founded Colon and Rectal Surgical Consultants of North Texas, then joined Baylor Scott & White in 2013. She and her team provide comprehensive, compassionate, and multidisciplinary patient care. Dr. Bostrom is dedicated to using advanced technologies in the diagnosis, management and treatment of colorectal disorders and diseases and is experienced in minimally invasive surgical techniques including laparoscopy and robotics.
Dr. Bostrom is board certified by the American Board of Colon and Rectal Surgery and the American Board of General Surgery. She earned her MD from the University of Texas Health Sciences Center before completing her general surgery residency at Mayo Clinic. She then completed her fellowship in colon and rectal surgery at the Mayo Clinic and then stayed on as a professor before moving to Texas. Dr. Bostrom is a recipient of the Kaare K. Nygaard Excellence in Clinical Research Award as well as the Mayo Brothers Distinguished Fellow Award. She is a member of many prestigious surgical societies, has authored several peer-reviewed journal articles and book chapters, and has presented nationally.
