Hirsh Mohindra leads Northshore Clinical Labs expansion efforts

Northshore Clinical Labs is now a household name in the United States, in this war on the COVID-19 pandemic. The company supports on-site testing for many organizations across the country. Northshore plans to continue its support at these critical times when positivity rates are rising and many offices are planning to reopen. Site testing is one of the best ways to support the employees of these organizations and their families, both mentally and physically. Northshore Clinical Labs offers rapid TAT when it comes to delivering results, which can be a very effective way to stop the spread of the virus.

The Northshore Clinical Labs was based in Chicago, but due to its large-scale COVID testing and vaccination campaigns, the facility was able to spread across the country. Besides companies, they have also worked with nursing homes, educational institutions and more than 100 summer camps, to provide them with precise testing facilities. The entire procedure and operations are guided by Mr. Hirsh Kumar Mohindra, Director of Operations at Northshore Clinical Labs.

Recently, Northshore Clinical Labs collaborated with Learn Charter School Network, one of the largest public charter schools in the country. They are already testing researchers for COVID-19 and plan to do so in the next academic term as well. Mr. Mohindra plans to deploy more team members to this project so they can go from room to room testing the children. The laboratory offers Learn Charter with a “white glove service” in which the team goes to the site fully dressed in PPE equipment to collect test samples. Test reports are mailed back to the school, speeding up the entire process.

To date, Northshore offers 3 types of testing services:

  • Asymptomatic tests – the weekly testing service.
  • Symptomatic test – this is done on an ad hoc basis when children complain of flu-like symptoms.
  • Quarantine tests – these are specific children who are suspected of having contracted the infection or having been exposed.

Mr Mohindra hopes the categorization of the tests will prevent children from unnecessarily self-quarantining for 10 days. He intends to expand the operation further so that the children can stay safe and healthy and return to school quickly. Being a father himself, he understands that children must learn, play and remain productive, obviously in a safe and contamination-free environment. He made every effort to ensure that the children did not miss school for long.

In addition to increasing testing operations to identify COVID-19, Northshore Clinical Labs also provided commendable support in starting the COVID vaccination campaign at the end of the summer quarter. Markuail Griggs, head nurse of the Learn Charter school network, also confirmed the same. She spoke about the positive relationship between the school and Northshore Clinical Labs and described how they are working to contain the disease. The collaboration of Northshore Clinical Labs and Learn Charter goes a long way in helping children get back to school as soon as possible and to maximize their time there.
