According to Perez-Howe, organizations like Axis provide a safety net for disadvantaged members of the community.
“It is an honor to be entrusted with the leadership of Axis, especially as growing up my own life and my family were helped by safety net services when we were in trouble. I would not be not who I am today without places like Axis,” says Perez-Howe.
Outgoing CEO Compton expressed confidence in Perez-Howe’s outstanding achievements, abilities and credentials.
“She has excelled in her role as Chief Operating Officer – earning the utmost respect from staff, managing the operational side of this never-ending pandemic, and ensuring that our clinical and frontline services are operating in an exemplary fashion,” said Compton said. “But without a doubt, the most important gift Liz brings as CEO of Axis is her love for the organization and her faith in the mission.”
Perez-Howe will take office as Axis’ new CEO on June 4.
